Regrowing Vegetables In Water: Rerooting Vegetables

You can actually take a head of lettuce or many other vegetables and turn them into a growing vegetable you can continue to enjoy and eat again and again. Imagine if you will growing a pineapple or other vegetables.

Regrowing vegetables in water is a cost-effective and fun way to grow your own veggies. Some vegetables grow better than others but here are just a few east ones to grow and how to do it.

Regrowing vegetables in water are generally as easy as taking a portion of the veggie and suspending it in a glass or other container of water. The portion needed to regrow vegetables in water is usually a stem or the bottom (root end) of it. If you want to regrow cilantro, basil or a simple head of lettuce place the stem of the vegetable or herb in water in a sunny warm area and wait a few weeks until you see roots. Once you have a healthy root, place it in some soil and watch it grow. Several other vegetables that are easy to regrow are potatoes, sweet potatoes, ginger, lettuce, celery Bok Choy and cabbage as well. Lemon Grass, green onions, and garlic are easily regrown as well.
